Journal publication ethics
All parties involved in the preparation of materials for publication in the journal—authors, expert commission, reviewers, and editorial board members—must adhere to the following publication ethics requirements.
The Editorial Board of the journal considers the best practices of reputable international journals when reviewing articles. To ensure the high quality of scientific publications, the Editorial Board works to prevent plagiarism, the use of incorrect data, and the inclusion of unsubstantiated information in published articles.
The Editorial Board and all persons involved in the publishing process must comply with internationally accepted ethical standards and take all necessary measures to prevent violations. The Editorial Board will never support illegal actions (such as plagiarism, manipulation, or distortion) and will make every effort to prevent such actions.
The Editor-in-Chief may consult with members of the Editorial Board and reviewers when making decisions. The following rules must be observed:
- Do not disclose information about the submitted manuscript to anyone except the author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial consultants, and, if necessary, the publisher.
- Do not discriminate in the evaluation of authors' submissions.
- Do not disclose, without necessity, information about materials accepted from authors, except to authors and reviewers.
- Take reasonable measures to identify and prevent the publication of articles in which the research has been improperly conducted, and discourage or prevent such violations.
- Consider facts or allegations of improper research behavior.
- Be prepared to publish corrections, clarifications, rebuttals, and apologies where necessary.
During the publishing process, authors must follow these rules:
- Work in full compliance with current legal requirements regarding libel, copyright, legality, and plagiarism.
- Provide reliable results of the original study and an objective discussion of its significance.
- Ensure the article contains sufficient content for review; false or deliberately erroneous statements may result in rejection or retraction of the article.
- Submitting the manuscript simultaneously to another publication is considered unethical and improper. The author must not submit to the journal an article previously published elsewhere.
- Guarantee the complete originality of the submitted material. If other authors' works or statements are used, appropriate bibliographic references or quotations must be provided.
- Do not allow plagiarism in any form. The article must have at least 80% text originality for publication.
- Follow the rules of self-citation: if elements of the material were previously published in another article, including in the journal «Chemistry and Chemical Technology», the author must reference the earlier work. Authors are advised to keep the self-citation rate within 0-10%.
- The number of authors of the article should not exceed five.
- Disclose information about funding and any third-party interests that may have influenced the results or interpretation of the manuscript.
- Inform the responsible editors in the relevant scientific fields about any significant error or inaccuracy in the work and maintain ongoing contact with the editors to retract or correct the article if necessary.
- Editorial board members may publish no more than one article per issue.
The number of articles by one author in a single issue of the journal should not exceed two (2), whether written individually or in collaboration.
